“Shades of Harmony” is not about musical harmonies, but rather the interactions of color I refer to as ‘color harmonics’. This is where colors on one layer interact with another layer to produce nodes of color which sweep slowly through the animations. These nodes are similar to the harmonics in sound which produce overtones. In sound they create octaves, but in the world of color, it is the complimentary colors which represent the harmonic values.
